Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nukus to Aral Sea Yurt Camp
Depart from Nukus by 4WD vehicle. Drive to Muynak to visit the ship graveyard and local museum. After a local lunch, continue the drive across the dried seabed of the Aral Sea, driving along the edge of the Ustyurt Plateau. Arrive at the yurt camp on the present-day shore of the Aral Sea for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Sunrise, Sudochie Lake & Return to Nukus
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the Aral Sea. After breakfast, drive back towards Nukus via a different route, stopping at Sudochie Lake, a key stop for migratory birds, and the ancient Kurgancha-Kala fortress. Arrive back in Nukus in the late afternoon.
